Back for another year of nest watching
We're back up and running for another year of bird box nest watching. We have a blue tit settling herself in!
The nest box (with internal camera) has lasted all winter on the wall. It now looks more weathered, of course. In late January (26th to be precise) we noticed some activity - a bird (or more than one) investigating the entrance and occasionally popping in for a look around.
We think it's either (RSPB links, open new windows) a Marsh Tit, a Willow Tit or even a Blackcap. Anybody?
The web cam has now been restarted. A blue tit is busy, on the days when we have warmer drier weather, going in and out lining the box and beginning to form a nest.
